Photo of the Week #0008

Sandy of Summerland Photography captured the sweetest moment here. Those toes! Those cheeks! That sweet lamb hat! The black and white finish is also perfection. Cutest little lamb we've ever seen!

Sandy is based in Othello, Washington and her site is definetly worth a visit! The newer version of the lamb hat can be found at the San Diego Hat Company.

It's hard not to stare at this photo! SO. PERFECT.

St. Pat's PROPS!

Sharp hats! One size fits all but the kiddos. These are for your teens and adults to wear but could be cute on the set if you do have little ones!

Shamrock tutu is size 2T-4T but runs small and can be pinned for the even smaller!

DIY Help [interior Design]

In honor of the "Flipping the Bar" project we are in the middle of tackling (more to come in the year 2086 when we actually finish it) we decided to share some DIY tips from those more knowledgeable than ourselves.

This is a shot of our general contractor aka my dad getting ready to cut the studs out of the wall we are removing. This is the calm before the four-letter-word storm.

The Familyhandyman.com gives great tips on the following here:

If something for some odd reason goes wrong with your DIY project then Apartmenttherapy.com has tips here on how to clean up DIY disasters such as:

• Blood from fabric
• Hot glue
• Super Glue
• Paint
• Straight pins and other fiddly metal bits
• Red wine
• Glitter

Feel covered now? Go ahead and get your glitter out.

Detroit C-list [interior Design]

I found a fun piece on Craigslist today.

Union Jack painted Antique Dresser

Ta-da! It's great right?! Go get it before I find room for it in my house!! Check out the post here. A Union Jack design has been on my list since I've seen this one over at sheridanfrench.blogspot.com:

AND I've decided I'm in love with hot pink after seeing the floor to ceiling curtains in the Gansevoort Hotel, New York. Sorry about the pink tangent but how do I convince my husband that hot pink is the new blue...?

Photo of the Week #0005

The ruffles in this photo bring in an element of sweetness. We love the light pink tones and the ballet slippers. Simple, dreamy, and sweet - ruffly clothing as a prop.

New PROP!

It's a classic piece and we've got 2 of them! While they are not the original Eames (that run for lots and lots of dinero) your clients will never have to know!  Go ahead and throw around "Yes I love modern architecture and the work of Charles and Ray. Did you know Charles studied at Cranbrook?". We won't say anything. Sleek and simple to go with a gazillion backdrops, babies, kids, teenagers, and adults.

How Cool is This?! [interior Design]

Flooring...made from old leather belts. So cool. Would I put this in a high traffic area? Maybe not but it would be sexy in a bedroom. What a great way to be green AND stylish!

Each belt is hand selected and cleaned with a chemical free substance. Read more here at the Ting website.

Photo of the Week #0004

The use of a simple colorful scarf can add a ton of interest to a photo. It also helps to be as beautiful as Sophia Loren.
