A New York State of Mind [interior Design]

The Big Apple is a City that never ceases to inspire. A couple hot spots caught my eye for good creative interior design. The first was Gold Bar in Little Italy. The seating is plush, dark, and comfortable so it only makes sense that the walls are covered in gold skulls ;)

Beautiful crystal chandeliers with a dash of antiquely strange art and a contemporary look create the hip atmosphere. It's a small lounge with a lot of impact. Great place to relax, hear some good music, and get inspired to think outside the box.

Next stop was Beauty & Essex on the Lower East Side. When I heard that they serve pink champagne in the bathroom I knew it was a place for me even though I'm not really a pink kinda girl. The entry is disguised as a pawn shop - very New York

That door in the back of the "shop" leads to the club/restaurant and it is beautiful

The bathrooms were GORG with snakeskin wallcovering that looked like lace on the wall and had a nice little bartender ready with the pink champagne ready for you.

both a must see!
